October Alpine Besseya	Bess is a tricolor belton out of the Comet x Rose breeding.  She was one of the best young bird dogs we've seen.  She handled Grouse and Woodcock very well in her first season, pointing with confidence and retrieving reliably, and developed into an outstanding hunter.  Bess has whelped three litters, all sired by Sage.  Her offspring are truly as good as it gets.
Sugarloaf Autumn Belle	Belle is out of a successful outcross to the Pinecoble line that produced outstanding bird dogs with moderate range, good speed and intensity, and good hips.  Like her littermates she hunts fast and points with intensity.  We were fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire her as an adult and we are very pleased with the abilities she has shown.  Bell was bred to October Ernie Paulus and whelped three puppies.  All are excellent hunters that developed exceptionally early.
October Kinnikinnick	October Kinnikinnick, "Nicki", is from a highly successful outcross of the Ryman line to the Smith line.  She developed early, making her first grouse points at 6 months.  Nicki hunts fast at moderate range, has a soft temperament, and is very easy to train.
October Blue Penny	October Blue Penny is a littermate of Nicki.  She also developed early, pointing training birds with skill at 5 months, and has done very well on Grouse and Woodcock.  Penny is close working and easy to handle and train.  She is instinctively cautious and shows a high degree of intelligence in the way she searches the wind for birds.
October Hazel	October Hazel is a blue female from another outcross to the Pinecoble line.  She did very well handling Grouse and Woodcock in her first season, pointing some of the first few birds she found, and has matured into an excellent bird dog.  She hunts at close range, is an outstanding retriever, and is very easy to train.
October Prairie Smoke	Smoke is out of Sage x Bess.  This breeding was highly successful, consistently producing excellent bird dogs with outstanding OFA results (22 pups from this breeding have obtained OFA evaluations and ALL were rated Good or Excellent).  Smoke hunts at moderate range, trains very easy, points with intensity, and retrieves reliably.  She has matured into an excellent bird dog.
October Skyrocket	Sky was whelped on June 19, 2003 out of Sugarloaf Autumn Belle x October Ernie Paulus.  She developed bird handling skill at an early age, hunts at close range and handles wild birds with a high level of competence.
October Sassy	Sassy was whelped on March 19, 2004 and is also out of Sage x Bess.  She hunts fast, covers ground efficiently, is exceptional about keeping track of us, works cover intelligently, has an exceptional nose, points with confidence and is the best retriever we've ever seen.
