October Setters Dams

October Prairie Smoke	Smoke is out of our first Sage x Bess litter. This breeding was highly successful, consistently producing excellent bird dogs with outstanding OFA results (28 pups from this breeding have obtained OFA evaluations and ALL were rated Good or Excellent). Smoke hunts at moderate range, is very easy to train, points with intensity, and retrieves reliably. She is an all around excellent bird dog.
October Skyrocket	Sky is out of Sugarloaf Autumn Belle x October Ernie Paulus. She developed bird handling skill at an early age, hunts at close range, retrieves naturally, and handles wild birds with a high level of competence. Sky is a "natural", and needed very little training to perform reliably in the field.
October Sassy	Sassy is out of our 2004 Sage x Bess litter. She hunts fast, covers ground efficiently, is exceptionally good about keeping track of us, works cover intelligently, has a superb nose, points with confidence, and is the best retrieving setter we've ever seen.
October Peppergrass	Pepper is a great female out of Penny and Sage. She has strong pointing instincts, hunts fairly fast at a moderate range, handles wild birds with expertise, and retrieves well. Pepper has a cooperative, bright personality and has been easy to train. She is a pleasure to hunt.
October Indian Paintbrush	Paint is a littermate of Heath, out of Nicki and Chaco. She is close working and easy going in the field, is a good retriever, and has a nice soft personality. She is very cautious on birds and points a high percentage of those she comes in contact with, particularly grouse and woodcock.
October Camas	Camas is a promising young female whelped in March 2009 out of Hazel x Rocky. She is showing superb natural ability at an early age.
